Tripura govt working to strengthen healthcare: Finance Minister

Agartala, June 26: Tripura government is committed towards strengthening the healthcare services upto primary level and initiatives have already been taken in this direction, a minister said on Wednesday.
Addressing an event, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said that the Tripura government is actively working to enhance advanced healthcare services across the state.
He highlighted the government's strategic plan to bolster healthcare systems, emphasizing improvements at the district, sub-division, and Panchayat levels to ensure comprehensive coverage.
To ensure healthcare for all, initiatives like the Chief Minister's Jan Arogya Yojana have been launched, he said after inauguration of the Gomati District level TB-mukt Gram Panchayat award distribution ceremony held at Rajarshi Kalakshetra in Udaipur.
The Gomati district administration and the Chief Medical Officer's office jointly organised the event.
In support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's TB-free India campaign, aimed at eradicating tuberculosis nationwide, the Finance Minister distributed nutrition kits to two TB patients and felicitated 60 TB-free Gram Panchayats from eight blocks in the Gomati district.
The event saw presence of MLA Abhishek Deb Roy, Udaipur Municipal Council Chairman Sheetal Chandra Majumdar, Kakraban Panchayat Samiti Chairman Supriya Saha, Tepania Panchayat Samiti Chairman Barna Das, and other officials.
Sabhadhipati (in-charge) of Gomati Zila Parishad Debal Deb Roy presided over the ceremony and Chief Medical Officer of Gomati district Dr. Kamal Reang delivered the welcome address.
