Agartala, Sept 22: In view of the proposed three-day nationwide bank strike from 28 September 2026 to 30 September 2026, Tripura Gramin Bank advises its valued customers and members of the public to plan and complete their essential branch-dependent banking transactions on or before 25 September 2026, so as to avoid any inconvenience during the proposed strike period.

The Bank is taking all necessary preparatory measures to ensure continuity of essential banking services and to minimise inconvenience to customers. Particular emphasis is being placed on the availability of ATMs, cash replenishment, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, digital payment facilities and other alternate banking channels during the period. 

The Government's preparedness checklist specifically calls for adequate ATM cash replenishment and continued operation of Internet/Mobile Banking, ATMs/CDMs, payment applications and self-service areas.

Customers are requested, wherever possible, to make greater use of the Bank's digital and alternate delivery channels for routine banking requirements during the proposed strike period. Customers requiring transactions that necessarily involve a visit to a branch are advised to complete such requirements sufficiently in advance.

Tripura Gramin Bank is making necessary arrangements to maintain the continuity of critical and essential banking operations to the extent possible. However, depending upon participation in the proposed strike, normal functioning at some branches may be affected during 28-30 September 2026. Customers are therefore requested to cooperate with the Bank and plan their banking requirements accordingly.

The Bank further advises customers not to panic and not to postpone urgent financial requirements until the strike period. Necessary cash requirements, important branch-related transactions and other essential banking work may preferably be attended to in advance.
