Agartala, Aug 16: As per the direction of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Health Secretary Kiran Gitte conducted an inspection at GBP Hospital's Dialysis Unit and Medicine Ward on Friday, addressing recent complaints of poor service quality.
The Dialysis Unit, recently upgraded and managed by Sanjevani Multispeciality Hospital, has faced allegations of mistreatment and substandard care. 
Gitte emphasized the need for adequate medical staff and directed the use of dialyzers only once to ensure patient safety.
During the inspection, issues in the Medicine Ward, including bed shortages and the need for repairs, were also addressed. The hospital aims to enhance its services and ensure better care for its patients.
The Health secretary passed necessary instructions to the hospital authorities for ensuring better patient care.
