Tripura honoured as 'top performing state' in IEC-CB activities at National Chintan Shivir

Agartala, April 20: Tripura has achieved an important milestone on the national platform with recognition as “Best Performing State” under the category of “Top State in IEC-CB Activities” at the National Chintan Shivir.
The award was conferred during the national-level event held in Pune, Maharashtra, on April 17 and 18, in recognition of Tripura’s outstanding performance in Information, Education and Communication (IEC) and Capacity Building (CB) initiatives.
The prestigious honour was presented by the National Health Authority (NHA) in the presence of senior officials and representatives from across the country.
The recognition highlights Tripura’s consistent efforts to strengthen public health awareness campaigns and improve outreach through systematic IEC and CB programmes.
A delegation from Tripura received the award on stage, marking the achievement as a major milestone in the state’s journey towards enhancing health awareness and ensuring better access to healthcare services. Officials said the award reflects the state’s commitment towards promoting healthcare schemes, ensuring effective implementation, and improving accessibility for citizens.
Authorities attributed the success to sustained grassroots-level awareness drives, strategic communication campaigns, and coordinated capacity-building efforts among healthcare workers.
The recognition has further reinforced Tripura’s leading position among Indian states in bridging the gap between the public and healthcare services through effective communication and outreach initiatives.
Officials expressed hope that the achievement will inspire greater innovation and dedication in strengthening the state’s healthcare system in the future, benefiting a larger number of citizens.
The development was announced in an official statement issued under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
