Tripura Janajati Welfare minister opens new building of Borok International School

Agartala, Aug 10: Under the centrally funded scheme called Special Economic Development Package, for NLFT (NB) Returnees’ Group, a newly constructed building of Book International School was formally inaugurated by the Janajati Welfare minister Rampada Jamatia at Hokutwisa (Dhumachera) in Dhalai district of Tripura on Wednesday.
MLA Diba Chandra Hrangkhawl, MDC Sanjoy Das and other dignitaries were present.
Addressing the programme, the Janajati Welfare minister said, it is a priority of the present state government to establish educational institutions of various disciplines.
The Janajati Welfare minister also said, it is everyone's responsibility that skilful and talented children are identified and taken care of so as to encourage the families of rural and remote habitations for coming forward in every field.
Jamatia urged all including the teachers and guardians to extend their cooperation in promoting this school as an ideal residential school.
The MLA in his speech reminded and urged the school management committee that quality and value education should be ensured in the school.
It is to be noted that Borok International School was established in 2013 and out of Rs. 6 core sanctioned under the package, Rs, 1.5 crore has so far been spent for construction purpose.
Construction of other buildings is under progress. The existing infrastructure consists of 2 staff rooms, 8 class rooms with 110 students and 17 teaching and non-teaching staff. The construction work has been implemented under the supervision of RD department.
ADM Dhalai Ajit Shukla Das, joint director of Janajati Welfare department Vanlaldika Darlong, senior leader and social activists of Japahamkrai Motha- Buchuk Borok, Ananta Debbarma and Daniel Borok were present in the inaugural ceremony.
