Tripura MLA meets road accident, hospitalized

Agartala, Mar 16: Member of Tripura Legislative Assembly from Kalyanpur in Khowai district Pinaki Das Chowdhury was hospitalized after he along with two others were onjured on a road mishap on Saturday.

Das met the mishap at Champaknagar area in route to Agartala. His personal guard Mithan Paul and vehicle driver Durlav Das also suffered injuries in the accident.
The MLA's vehicle had a head-on collision with a speeding four wheeler coming from opposite direction.
They were taken to GBP hospital. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha rushed to GB Pant hospital & met the three onjured persons including MLA. He also interacted with the doctor on duty regarding their treatment.
Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said the MLA's injury is not major. 
“I was scared to see the condition of his vehicle. However, he didn’t sustain major injuries. There are no head injuries, but there is a chance of a fracture in his hand. Otherwise, he is stable. His driver and one PG also injured. They are stable. I personally spoke with the doctor on duty. Whatever is needed, we will ensure the best treatment."
