Tripura Police announces prestigious awards, Dhruba Nath Best Policeman

Agartala, Jan 15: To mark the upcoming Police Week 2025 celebrations, Tripura Police has announced a series of prestigious awards to honor exemplary service and dedication within its ranks. 
The event is set to take place on January 16 at the Manoranjan Debbarma Smriti Stadium, A.D. Nagar Police Line.

Dhruba Nath, currently serving as Additional SP, West Tripura (Rural), has been recognized as the ‘Policeman of the Year 2024’, a testament to his exceptional commitment and leadership in law enforcement.

Sub-Inspector Sanjay Majumder, Officer-in-Charge of Damcherra Police Station, North Tripura, has been awarded the title of ‘Best Investigator of 2024’. His remarkable investigative skills have also earned him the prestigious DGP’s Commendation Disc.

Best Performing Units:

Best District (General Performance): Gomati District.
Best District (Beat System): Dhalai District.

Best Police Station:
Birganj Police Station (Gomati District).
Damcherra Police Station (North Tripura District)

Best Police Station (Technology): New Capital Complex Police Station.

Best Police Station (Beat System): Kamalpur Police Station, Dhalai District.

Best Unit (Technology): KTDS Police Training Academy.

Lifetime Achiever Award has been given ti Retired Inspector Kajal Ghosh, for his unparalleled contributions to the Tripura Police force.

Best Clerical Staff: Uttam Biswas, Head Clerk-cum-Accountant, SB Organization & Bipul Karjee, 7th Battalion TSR.

Recognition for Service Excellence:

This year, 73 policemen will receive the DGP’s Commendation Disc for outstanding service, including:

Dr. Chandan Saha, Addl. SP, SB Organization (third-time recipient), Vanneiliana Darlong, Addl. SP, Unakoti, Robert L. Darlong, Addl. SP, SB Organization, Bapi Debbarma, SDPO, Santirbazar (second-time recipient), Debanjali Roy, SDPO, Amarpur, Shipra Das, OC, Dharmanagar Women Police Station, and Ripita Bhattacharjee, OC, Kailashahar Women Police Station.

The Police Week celebration not only recognizes the stellar contributions of officers and units but also highlights the importance of innovation, community engagement, and dedication in maintaining law and order across the state.

This year’s awards reflect the commitment of the Tripura Police to excellence and its ongoing efforts to motivate its personnel to serve with integrity and professionalism.
