Agartala, July 24: Director General of Tripura Police Amitabh Ranjan reviewed the law and order situation ahead of the Panchayat polls.

In the review meeting, the recent Gandacherra violence and other incidents were discussed.
Anurag,IPS, DG (INT), Tripura, Carey Marak, IGP (TSR & OPs), Ipper Manchak, DIGP (SR/NR) and Krishnendu Chakravertty, DIGP (Crime & Int.) attended the meeting at the Conference Hall of SP, Dhalai office.

All the district SPs attended the meeting and discussed various important matters.

While reviewing the security preparedness for the upcoming Panchayat elections, scheduled to be held on August 8 next, the Tripura Police chief passed an instruction to the district SPs to stay alert regarding any kind of ethnic and communal issues.

He also asked the district police chiefs to personally visit the spot ot scene in case of any crime, which is grave in nature.
