Tripura set to host Unity Promo Fest 2025, Jubin Nautiyal major attraction

Agartala, Oct 31: Tripura is gearing up for a vibrant winter of music, culture, and celebration as the Unity Promo Fest 2025 returns with a bigger and more spectacular edition.

Organized by the Department of Tourism, the month-long festival promises to blend music, art, culture, adventure, and heritage to position Tripura more prominently on India’s tourism map.

Following the resounding success of its debut edition in 2024, the second edition will span six breathtaking destinations — Narkelkunja (Dumboor Lake), Belonia, Udaipur, Jampui Hills, Neermahal (Melaghar) and Agartala — expanding from last year’s four venues.

The festival aims to celebrate the theme of ‘Unity in Diversity’ through a captivating series of musical performances, cultural exhibitions, traditional art showcases, and local cuisine experiences.

Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, while announcing the festival at a press conference at Geetanjali Tourism Guest House premises on Friday, said that Unity Promo Fest 2025 will not only showcase the natural beauty and heritage of Tripura but also boost tourism-driven income and local entrepreneurship.

“The Unity Promo Fest has already contributed to a rise in tourist footfall and revenue. Around 210 homestays have been set up near Narkelkunja, and similar facilities are being developed across other destinations,” Chowdhury said.

He said, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha will be invited to inaugurate the event on November 8 at Narkelkunja, marking the beginning of a month-long celebration of music and unity.

Adding to the excitement, this year’s lineup features a galaxy of renowned singers and performers from across the country.

Here’s the full schedule of musical events:

November 8–9, Narkelkunja (Dumboor Lake): Local sensation Krishnakali Saha, famed for her hit song ‘Pardesiya’, will join the fest on November 8, followed by Saregamapa fame Albert Kobo Lepcha on November 9.

November 15–16, Belonia (South Tripura): Bollywood playback star Palak Muchhal will perform live at College Square on November 16.

November 19–20, Udaipur: Popular singer Papon will take the stage on November 20.

November 29–30, Jampui Hills: Mizoram-based artist Mary Dawngi and her band Saiwanah Sailo will perform on Day 2.

December 4–5, Neermahal (Melaghar): Saregamapa fame Debajit Saha will perform on December 5 amid the royal charm of the lake palace.

December 12, Agartala (Swami Vivekananda Maidan): The grand event will feature Bollywood sensation Jubin Nautiyal, whose live performance will mark the culmination of the month-long celebration.

Tourism officials Prashant Badal Negi, Director, and Aniruddha Roy, Joint Director, were also present during the announcement and highlighted the festival’s growing national appeal.

With each venue hosting two days of performances and cultural showcases, Unity Promo Fest 2025 is poised to be one of Tripura’s biggest tourism promotions yet—uniting people through art, culture, and music while boosting the state’s economy and hospitality sector.

This year, Gomati and South Tripura districts have been added to the list of Unity Promo Fest.
