Agartala, Mar 10: Tripura’s Fueler, a career portfolio platform founded by entrepreneur Riten Debnath, secured the NEB Awards 2026 in the Tech Startup category during the Northeast Entrepreneurs Meet (NEEM) 2026 held at NERIST in Arunachal Pradesh.
The recognition was conferred during the event on February 21, where entrepreneurs, innovators and ecosystem leaders from across the Northeast gathered to showcase and celebrate promising ventures from the region. The award acknowledges Fueler’s innovative approach to hiring solutions and its potential to reshape the professional recruitment landscape in India.
Fueler operates under Kiwismedia Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a Tripura-based startup focused on redefining how talent is evaluated in the knowledge economy. Unlike traditional recruitment models that rely heavily on resumes, the platform allows professionals to present their portfolios, assignments and real-world projects as proof of their skills.
The platform has already gained notable traction, with over 75,000 professionals registered and more than 500 companies using the system to identify and recruit talent. By enabling candidates to demonstrate their abilities through practical work samples, Fueler aims to help employers make more informed hiring decisions.
According to the company, the initiative also seeks to bridge the opportunity gap for skilled individuals from small towns and underrepresented regions, allowing them to access career opportunities across the country through a work-based evaluation system.
The award certificate highlighted Fueler’s innovation, promising growth trajectory and contribution to entrepreneurship in the Northeast. It was presented by Nima Sona, Founder and CEO of Neso Fugensus Pvt. Ltd., an organization actively supporting startup development in the region.
Reacting to the recognition, founder Riten Debnath said the achievement reflects the untapped potential of startups emerging from the Northeast.
“This recognition goes beyond Fueler. It represents the strength of the Northeast’s startup ecosystem and shows that impactful technology ventures can grow from regions like Tripura and build solutions for the entire country,” he said.
Debnath further noted that the company aims to promote a hiring culture where talent is assessed based on practical work and demonstrated skills rather than only academic qualifications or resumes.
