Agartala, Dec 07: Agartala is set to host the main event of Tripura Tourism Promo Fest 2024 at Swami Vivekananda Maidan from December 12 to 14, promising three days of vibrant cultural festivities and tourism promotion.

The festival aims to showcase Tripura’s rich cultural heritage and its tourism potential, featuring captivating musical performances and traditional exhibits. 

The much-anticipated highlight of the event will be a musical night on December 14-- live concert by popular Bollywood playback singer Shreya Ghoshal. Her performance is expected to draw a massive crowd, prompting the administration to bolster arrangements for effective crowd management and security.

Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, accompanied by senior officials, conducted a site inspection at Swami Vivekananda Maidan on Friday.

The team reviewed the progress of stage design, stall construction, and logistical planning, ensuring the smooth execution of the festival. The minister passed necessary directives to enhance the event’s success.

The Tripura Tourism Promo Fest 2024 was inaugurated on December 3 by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha at Narkelkunja, a scenic tourist spot.

The first event captivated visitors with its charm and festivities. The festival’s second and third segments are scheduled at Neermahal on December 9 and Jampui Hills on December 11, respectively, before culminating in Agartala.

As part of the initiative, a delegation from the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) will visit the state to explore its untapped tourism potential and promote it on a national scale.

The administration is hopeful that the event will boost tourism in Tripura and provide visitors with an unforgettable cultural experience.
