Aiming to scale up fisheries-based livelihoods under the World Bank-funded TRESP project, Tripura Fisheries Secretary Deepa Nair chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Directorate of Fisheries, Agartala.

The session focused on evaluating ongoing activities across 23 TRESP-covered blocks and strengthening coordination between departmental officials and field-level teams.

Joined by Director of Fisheries Santosh Das, district-level Deputy Directors, and representatives from PMU, PIU, and TSA, the meeting highlighted the importance of field engagement and real-time problem-solving. The Secretary emphasized the need for strong operational synergy and proactive field monitoring to accelerate project outcomes.

The review underscored the Fisheries Department’s commitment to structured implementation and joint accountability, signaling a more coordinated approach to rural livelihood development across Tripura.
