Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday said that future development plans of the state will be based on the insights emerging from the task monitoring system.
Appreciating the system’s effectiveness, he urged all departments to work with greater commitment and coordination to address public grievances and accelerate developmental progress.
The Chief Minister chaired a review meeting on the state’s task monitoring system at the Secretariat’s video conference hall.
The meeting was attended by secretaries and directors of various departments, while District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police from all eight districts joined virtually.
In the review meeting, the Chief Minister held extensive discussions on a wide range of issues including law and order, public works and infrastructure projects, healthcare services, development of educational infrastructure, power supply, and traffic congestion in Agartala city.
One of the key highlights of the meeting was the Chief Minister’s proposal to deploy drones to identify areas of illegal ganja cultivation in the state. He also suggested proactive measures to build a more positive perception of law enforcement agencies among the public.
Addressing the growing issue of urban traffic, especially in Agartala, Dr. Saha recommended exploring the possibility of mandating private vehicle owners to have garage facilities as a prerequisite for registration, to ease road congestion.
On the healthcare front, the Chief Minister directed the Health Department to ensure the smooth functioning of oxygen plants and ventilator systems across the state.
