Agartala, Oct 22: The countdown for Diwali celebration began while the puja organizers have started giving shapes to their plans in a devotional and colourful way.
In Tripura, the key Diwali celebration takes place at Tripurasundari Temple in Udaipur every year, drawing lakhs of devotees from across the state and other parts of the country and bringing income scopes for the local traders.
At Udaipur’s Matabari, the festival becomes a spectacular display of devotion and cultural spirit. The plan goes similar this year too and preparations are going on in full swing.
Minister for Finance Pranajit Singha Roy held threadbare discussions on the plans and preparations for the upcoming festival in a meeting held at the conference hall of Gomati DM office. He passed necessary instructions to the officials concerned.
This year, the Diwali Puja will be held on October 31. The organizers are planning three-day long programmes and taking unique initiatives to make the Festival and Mela successful. Elaborate security measures are also being planned for smooth conduct of the Diwali celebration.
Meanwhile, the Finance minister also presided over a meeting of the Matabari Trust Committee and discussed the progress of on-going development works at Matabari Complex under PRASAD Scheme.
