Agartala, July 17: Tripura's young Tea entrepreneur- Sumedha Das (25), who already gained attention with her hand-rolled Green Tea (Orthodox), has now come up with a Tea Processing Factory (Black Tea Unit) at Mailong ADC village in Unakoti district of Tripura.

The Panchamnagar Tea Processing Unit, which is now equipped with an advanced machine, has been formally inaugurated by Tripura Forest minister Meval Kumar Jamatia in presence of other dignitaries including Senior Tea Planter Anjan Das.

Under the banner of Shova Moyee Agro Industries and allied services, the tea produced in this factory is branded as "Neermahal Tea". The new machine will help increase the production capacity.

As the female Tea entrepreneur is now all set to go for a full-scale production, it will create employment opportunities for around 100 people, making her a job creator.

Earlier she had set a record by selling hand-rolled Orthodox Tea at Rs. 12,500 per kg, highest ever price for Tripura Tea. The consignment was reportedly supplied to the Gulf and Denmark.
