Tripura’s industry-friendly atmosphere now attracting investment: CM

Agartala, Sept 29: Improved connectivity and industry-friendly environment in Tripura are now attracting the investors from various parts of the country, said Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.

Responding to the Tripura government’s call, many of the industrialists from various parts of the country are now expressing their desire to invest in the state’s industry sector, the Chief Minister said after inaugurating a new industrial unit at R.K. Nagar in West Tripura district on Friday.

He said, the present state government has been focusing on proper utilization of all the possibilities for an Industrial growth.

The Chief Minister inaugurated a new bamboo-based industry which has been developed by G Cube Sticks Pvt. Ltd. & G Cube Ventures Pvt. Ltd with an investment of around Rs. 30 crore at Bamboo, Park, R.K. Nagar industrial area.

The new industry reflects the state government’s commitment to develop the industry sector. 

The Chief Minister on Friday also launched "Yuba Tripura, Natun Tripura, Atmanirbhar Tripura", an initiative of Tripura Industrial Development Corporation to encourage and support the Yuba Shakti towards setting up industrial units.

Under this initiative 100 youths from all eight districts each would get opportunities to visit the industrial areas and gather knowledge on various matters.

On the first day, around 94 youths from Gomati district inspected the Bodhjungnagar industrial area and participated in a seminar. The Chief Minister appreciated the initiative of the TIDC.

He also released a booklet comprising information regarding various Swanirbhar schemes of the Central and State governments.

Minister for Industries and Commerce Santana Chakma, Chairman of Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Nabadal Banik, Principal Secretary of Industries and Commerce department S.K. Sethi, Director of Viswashree B., and other dignitaries were present.
