Agartala, May 15: The Tripura government has ordered a reshuffle of two IAS officers, reassigning key administrative responsibilities in the state.

Unakoti District Magistrate and Collector Tamal Majumder has been transferred and appointed as Special Secretary to the Government of Tripura. Following his joining, he will independently oversee the Home (Fire & Emergency Services) Department.

In addition to his new role, Majumder has also been entrusted with the additional responsibilities of Director of Fire & Emergency Services, Director of Urban Development, and Special Secretary of the Urban Development Department.

Meanwhile, Megha Jain, who was serving as Director of Urban Development along with the additional charge of Director of Fire & Emergency Services, has been posted as the new District Magistrate and Collector of Unakoti district, according to an official notification issued by the state government.
