Aizwal, Sept 04 (AIR News): The Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs Smriti Zubin Irani visited several facility centres in Aizawl today.

These centres are functioning with support from the Women and Child Development Ministry. Mrs Irani is on a visit to Mizoram.
 
Mrs Irani visited Observation Home, SWADHAR Greh & Ujjawala Home in Aizawl and reviewed quality of facilities and services provided to the women and children inmates at the centres.

While visiting the Sakhi - One Stop Centre for rehabilitation of victims of domestic violence and two Child Care Institutions, the Minister interacted with the functionaries of the Centres. 

During the interaction, she also assured of looking into matters for providing more help by the Ministry for better operation of these centres and support to the distressed women and children.
