Unity Mall set to come up in Tripura capital, Bhoomi Pujan held

Agartala, Oct 03: Unity Mall, a dream project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is set to come up in Agartala.

On Thursday, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha accompanied by Industries and Commerce minister Santana Chakma, MLA Mina Rani Sarkar, MLA DIpak Majumder and several officials participated in the Bhoomi Pujar for the proposed project.

Apart from promotion of ‘One District, One Product’ campaign of the Prime Minister, the Unity Mall would also contribute to the local economy and generate employment opportunities, the Chief Minister said.

The Unity Mall, a Rs. 150-crore project, will be built on 4.18 acres of land at Jute Mill ground, Hapania and will feature 45 stalls, 36 commercial stalls, and additional stalls for the 8 districts.

Speaking in the ceremony, the Chief Minister also said, he has planned to implement unique initiatives in all sixty assembly segments ensuring development. 

He also emphasized the need for speedy completion of the Unity Mall project. 

Two secretaries- Kiran Gitte and Abhishek Singh, and CEO and MD of Agartala Smart City Limited Shailesh Kumar Yadav were also present at the event.
