Unity Promo Fest: Tripura Tourism minister chairs meeting, large queue for free passes seen

Agartala, Dec 08: Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming live concert of celebrated Bollywood singer Jubin Nautiyal, the final event of “Unity Promo Fest – 2025” scheduled to be held on December 12 at Swami Vivekananda Maidan, Agartala.

While distribution of free passes commenced at the Tourism Directorate, Agartala (Swetmahal) on Monday, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury chaired an important preparatory meeting at the Secretariat to ensure the successful conduct of the upcoming event.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Tourism Department, the IG (Law & Order), the District Magistrate of West Tripura, the Superintendent of Police of West Tripura, senior officials of the Tourism Department including the Director and Joint Director, along with other key officers.

The discussions focused on coordination, security arrangements, public convenience, and smooth management of the event.

Meanwhile, a large queue of music enthusiasts was seen in front of the Tourism Directorate in Agartala as people gathered to collect their passes for the grand event.

The Tourism Department aims to host the event with collective cooperation from all stakeholders to showcase Tripura’s cultural vibrancy and promote tourism in the region.

According to official sources, necessary steps have been taken for fair distribution of passes among the people. This process will continue till December 11. One pass is being issued against one Aadhaar card.

Last year, Shreya Ghoshal, the iconic Bollywood singer, performed live at the same venue where thousands of people offered a rousing welcome to the singing sensation. Similarly, the organizers are expecting a massive turnout in Jubin Nautiyal event too and making arrangements accordingly.
