Vande Bharat Express may run in Tripura, CM hints

Agartala, Mar 12: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday hinted that Vande Bharat Express may run in the state after completion of electrification of rail tracks.

He said, the electrification work is nearing completion.
 
After laying the foundation stone and performing Bhumi Pujan of the 50-bedded Sub-Divisional Hospital at Jirania in the West Tripura District, Dr. Saha mentioned that the condition of hospitals was not as satisfactory in the past, but since the formation of the BJP government, people are now receiving quality treatment from the government health facilities.
 
The state government has allocated Rs 41.53 crore for the construction of the 50-bedded Sub-Divisional Hospital.

The Chief Minister stressed on maintaining quality of the construction.
 
"Our government is working to ensure that there is no dearth of medical infrastructure. We have 9 superspeciality services in GB Pant Hospital. Earlier, we had to go outside the state for treatment. Now, the improved healthcare in the state has significantly reduced the number of referral cases," the Chief Minister said.

He also highlighted the launch of Chief Minister Jana Arogya Yojona. Around 2.50 lakh people have already enrolled for the benefit, said Dr. Saha.
 
He said the present state government wants to stay with the people to solve their problems.
 
Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Sushanta Chowdhury, Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Kiran Gitte, Director of Health Services Dr. Sanjib Debbarma and others were present.
