Veer Gatha: 4 Tripura students Shine in national level

Agartala, Jan 25: Four talented students from Tripura have brought glory to the state by winning the coveted national-level ‘Veer Gatha’ awards.

Their exceptional creative works earned them a place among the prestigious Super-100 winners of the Veer Gatha 4.0 competition, a collaborative initiative by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Education.

The proud awardees included- Sagar Debbarma (Eklavya Model Residential School, Khumlung) for essay, Hridam Roy (Sri Krishna Mission School) for essay, Meghraj Debroy (RKM Vidyalaya, Viveknagar) for painting/ drawing and Ishika Shil (Teliamura H.S. School) for poem.

These students were honored at a grand ceremony held on Saturday at the Hall of the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in New Delhi. 

The event witnessed the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Union Minister of State Sanjay Seth, along with senior officials from the Indian Army.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha expressed immense pride in the students’ achievements, congratulating them for their exceptional accomplishments and for making Tripura shine on the national stage.

The 'Veer Gatha' competition aims to inspire young minds by encouraging them to creatively express the valor and sacrifices of the nation’s brave hearts.

This year’s winners serve as an inspiration for their peers and a testament to the potential of Tripura’s youth.
