Agartala, Nov 30: In an unprecedented move, the Tripura government has preapared an action plan for the next 25 years to take the state’s progress to new heights.
While addressing a programme in Agartala, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said the matter already came up for discussion in the cabinet meeting.
“Our vision is not limited to only five years. We are thinking for the next 25 years till 2046 to build a prosperous Tripura for the young generation,” Deb said in the programme.
Deb said the action plan would include many aspects—one of the most important factors is that the state government would focus more on women empowerment through formation of new Self Help Groups and enhancing their activities.
He hinted that a target would be set to cover the women in every household under such Self Help Groups for their financial growth.
According to the Chief Minister, the Self Help Groups created a Rs. 1000-crore economy in a major boost to the state’s financial progress.
