Agartala, July 3: In a bid to strengthen grassroots governance and ensure effective implementation of government welfare programmes, West Tripura District Magistrate and Collector Dr. Vishal Kumar on Saturday conducted an early morning inspection of Birmohan Para ADC Village under the Lefunga Rural Development Block.
During the field visit, the District Magistrate reviewed the functioning of several key public institutions and assessed the quality of essential infrastructure available to villagers.
He inspected the Health and Wellness Centre, government schools, Anganwadi centres, village roads and other public facilities to evaluate service delivery at the grassroots level.
The DM also interacted with local residents to gain first-hand feedback on the implementation of various government schemes and understand the challenges faced by the community. The villagers shared their concerns and developmental needs, which were noted by the district administration for appropriate follow-up.
Officials said the visit was part of the district administration's ongoing efforts to monitor public services through direct field inspections and ensure that government programmes are implemented effectively in rural and tribal areas.
The administration has been conducting regular visits to villages across West Tripura to improve accountability, address local issues promptly and ensure that development initiatives reach beneficiaries in a timely and efficient manner.
