Yaba tablets worth Rs. 52 cr seized by Assam Rifles in Tripura

Agartala, Sept 26: As a mark of its commitment towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Neshamukt Bharat, Assam Rifles in Tripura seized a huge consignment of Yaba tablets.
In a significant anti-drug operation, the Assam Rifles intercepted the consignment of 2.6 lakh Yaba tablets at Khayerpur on Wednesday.
The operation, driven by precise intelligence, resulted in the major seizure of narcotics along with a vehicle used in the transportation of the drugs.
The seized Yaba tablets, valued at approximately Rs 52 crore in the international market, were handed over to the Customs Department's DPF Unit in Agartala for further legal action.
Assam Rifles, through an official statement, highlighted the importance of the operation in the ongoing battle against drug trafficking and Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s anti-drug campaign.
This latest seizure reflects the efforts of security forces in the fight against drug trafficking in the region.
