‘Walk with Tiranga’ registers huge success in Tripura capital

Agartala, Aug 12: ‘Walk with Tiranga’, a rally organized by Tripura Information and Cultural Affairs department in the state capital, registered a huge success on Friday.

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha led the rally from Gandhi statue at Circuit House to Ujjayanta Prasad in Agartala. The rally was organized as part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign as initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhowmik and ICA Minister Sushanta Choudhury took part in the rally.

Along with other state cabinet members, the administrative officials, NSS and Civil Defense volunteers, force personnel and others also participated in the rally. 

Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister called on all people the state to take part in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign from August 13-15 by hoisting the National Flag at their homes. 

The ICA Minister said, the `Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign is being conducted to remember and pay tribute to those who have laid their lives for the nation. 

He said, a target has been set to hoist more than 5 lakh National Flags in the state under the campaign. The Chief Minister and other dignitaries later released 75 tri-colored balloons at Ujjayanta Palace premises.
